We knew the property was in good hands with her during its time on the market. This was a difficult life transition, but she made it as stress-free as possible for both of us. A few days after meeting my father for the first time when he was looking at getting the home on the market, Hurricane Helene passed through the area, causing a lot of devastation. He was alone with no power, no phone and trees down, and his regular care provider wasn't able to get there. Anne Marie checked on him several times and called me (even driving several miles out of town to find cell service) to keep me informed.
